NATIONAL SCHOOLS PROJECT

PUBLISHERS OF THE YOUNG AMERICAN POETRY DIGEST

Our class participated in the National Schools Project. We submitted our acrostic poems for publication in the 2008 edition of the Young American Poetry Digest. Each student worked extremely hard with their word selections, spelling and researching rhymes in our Rhyming Dictionary to make their poems as close to perfect as they can. They took time, effort and pride in writing these poems. Despite some challenges, they rose to the occasion and gave it their all. A committee of teachers have reviewed the poems submitted and selected poems they feel are well written.I am thrilled to say that the following students received a letter of "Congratulations" letting them know their poem was chosen and will be published:Christopher D, Dereck L, Nick N, and Nick T.WAY TO GO!!! WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU : )
